Park Your Brick
In 2003 HOPS adopted the Idylweir Park at the corner of SE 10th Street and SE 10th Ave. Along with a brick
patio, there is a children's play area, tennis court, as well as benches and a BBQ grill.
The City of Ocala recently installed sidewalks and curbing throughout.
When HOPS sold the Snowden House, where the original brick patio started we moved (pardon the pun),
brick by brick, the patio to the Idylweir Park . You can purchase a brick and place your name, a loved one's
name, a memorial or any saying on the brick.
Proceeds will provide funding for historic preservation projects. The bricks are only $40 each or two for $70.
Each brick can be engraved with up to 14 characters (including spaces and punctuation) per line, and up to
three lines per brick.
You may order your brick by calling the HOPS office at 352.351.1861 or download the order form and mail it
to HOPS. What a great way to have a personal message immortalized! Go by and see how peaceful the park
is and enjoy a bit of nature
