OHPAB
The Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board (OHPAB) is a 9-member board appointed by city council. They are responsible for approvinf a Certificate of Appropriateness for any exterior work to properties in the Historic Districts.

OCALA GROWTH MANAGEMENT
A Community Redevelopment Agency oversees grants and resources for specific areas within Historic Ocala, and are focused on spurring growth and improving the redevelopment areas.

OCALA MAIN STREET
Ocala Main Street is creating a thriving, unique, and livable downtown that enriches the community, embraces history, celebrates the arts and promotes quality events to instill a sense of place in our community.

FLORIDA DIVISION OF HISTORICAL RESOURCES
The Division is responsible for preserving and promoting Florida’s historical, archaeological and folk culture resources. Includes preservation resources.

FLORIDA TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION
The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation is the statewide nonprofit dedicated to protecting Florida’s extraordinary heritage and history.

NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION
The National Trust for Historic Preservation is leading the movement to save places where our history happened.

ADVISORY COUNCIL ON HISTORIC PRESERVATION
The ACHP promotes the preservation, enhancement, and sustainable use of the nation’s diverse historic resources, and advises the President and Congress on national historic preservation policy.

FT KING NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK
Fort King National Historic Landmark is a living history site that educates and informs the public of the important cultural, historic, and national resources found at the park, and protects and develops the resources for future generations.

SILVER RIVER MUSEUM
The Silver River Museum provides unique hands-on learning opportunities for Marion County Public Schools students, staff and the general public. Visitors learn about the cultural and natural history of Florida, and the importance of protecting and conserving cultural and natural resources. 

MARION COUNTY MUSEUM OF HISTORY & ARCHEOLOGY

The Marion County Museum of History and Archaeology is a research and teaching institution, with displays, exhibits and programs cover 13,000 years of human history in this wonderful county.

MARION GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
This is a community of enthusiastic people in an atmosphere of support, assistance and guidance to anyone with roots in Marion County or a desire to find and share their own family history.

OCALA FIRE MUSEUM
The Ocala Fire Museum is a window into Ocala Fire Rescue’s history. Featuring authentic pieces, imagery, and memorabilia of fire service marvels which shaped the industry as it is known today, the museum offers an opportunity for enthusiasts to explore Ocala Fire Rescue’s roots.
